About

VisiSocial is a research project. It asks one question: if someone analysed your social-media data, what could they conclude, and on what evidence?

Approach

Earlier tools showed people what could be inferred about them. VisiSocial separates what you did from what was computed and from what a model guessed, and links each finding to the items it came from so you can check it yourself.

Status

A prototype. It runs only for the Facebook test accounts allowed by the app's settings. Its methods are published with their measured weaknesses, and it has not yet been evaluated with real participants.

Author

Farhan Khan, independent researcher. The first version of VisiSocial began as a final-year project at Swansea University; this version was rebuilt independently.
